I asked this question today in a webinar about starting an online business.
I feel like knowing WHY I want to do something is extremely important.
Here are some of the answers I received:
There are goals which I have committed to achieving getting my (last at home ) son though college, another is staying in touch with family.
Achieving financial security, building our retirement home . Seeing how E-commerce is expanding at double digit rates every year, I can’t afford not to get involved in this growing market.
After many years on the J.O.B. my business can follow me to where I want to live instead of the JOB market predicting where I will live, and I have a business that will survive even the toughest of economic times. I can see a great future ahead. The guide lines to achieving my goals have been laid down, Now with hard work and a no quite attitude
How can I not make it.
And this:
I am excited to run an online business because my partner and I want to enjoy some travel time, specifically buy a 5th wheel and still be able to earn a living on the road. “) I think it can be done and I hope to be Prospers / Robert Allens success story for doing just that. Of course I have many other additions to the reasons why, like paying off the mortgage, old debt, and being able to give back to my children, but the 5th wheel is the 1st goal I need to achieve to feel the ultimate success I want to share with my friends and family. I’m hoping, no expecting to be in that position by mid year of 2011. Wish me luck. “)
Looking forward to more webinars soon.

What do you think about these WHY Statements?
Are they specific enough?
Do they have enough motivation to work through the tough times in building an online business?
Look forward to your feedback!
